Harvest

Thank you very much for all of your donations to our Harvest appeal for the London City Mission; I think we had the best response we’ve ever had! The donations are being taken to the London City Mission tomorrow.

Year 2 Cake Sale

Year 2 are fundraising to support a visit to the Barbican by holding a cake sale outside their classroom at the end of the day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Year 2 children will be making cupcakes in class and they would also appreciate any shop-bought cupcakes from the supermarket. You can help support them by buying some cakes at the end of the day and they are also keen to receive any shop-bought cupcakes you may want to donate, whether your chid is in Year 2 or not. Please check any shop-bought cakes for traces of nuts and the staff will make sure they are clearly labelled when they are sold.

Can You Help?

Sonia Walker, our coordinator for children with English as an Addition Language writes:

“Our school is culturally diverse and is represented by approximately 35 different languages.  We need translators and people to help make resources which would further develop children’s understanding of the English language.  The Foundation Stage is currently looking for volunteers to help make story props.  Your help would support the learning of children and would be greatly appreciated by class teachers.  If you would like to help out please write down your name and number on a list held at the office and I will get in contact with you.

Black History Month

For 23 years Britain has celebrated black and ethnic minority people’s contributions to British culture and Society.

The City of Westminster is celebrating Black History Month through music, drama, art and exhibitions.  Look at their website

to see what events you and your child could participate in.”
