In the last
month we’ve raised almost £600 for charity. In December we collected
£337.25 for the West London day Centre and on Friday Year 6’s cake
sale and our non-uniform contributions raised £256.22 for the Haiti
Appeal.
Thank
you to everyone who contributed.
Uniform
Just another
reminder about school uniform. Some of the children seem to be
getting a bit confused!
We’re
in winter uniform at the moment, so:
-
White shirts
with collars
(not polo type shirts)
-
Ties
-
GREY trousers
(not black)
-
School
sweatshirts
(not cardigans or pullovers)
-
Dark shoes
(not trainers)
If
there’s something you’re not sure about, ask at the reception desk
or give us a call.
Story Telling
Week
Storytelling
week starts next Monday with an assembly from Abundance Arts, who
specialise in interactive performances and African storytelling.
They’ll also be running workshops in classes. Story Telling Week is
part of a bigger ‘Speaking and Listening’ project we are involved
with and the entire school will be learning a story together that
all children and adults should be able to re-tell off by heart by
the end of the week. Over the week, children will be
listening, telling, acting and writing stories in class but you can
help too. Please Look out for letters and posters explaining how you
can support storytelling at home or here at school by coming in to
share your own stories. We'll be showing the work we've done in
assemblies and open mornings on Friday 5th and Monday 8th February.
Keep checking your child’s book bag for further information!
