Storytelling week
has finally arrived. Classes will be having lots of fun listening
to, acting out and writing stories together. We hope that you have
fun at home too by having a go at
telling
stories
instead of reading them.
The whole school
will be learning the story of 'The Papaya that Spoke' and, by the
end of the week, the children will know the story off by heart (or
that's the idea anyway, ask them to tell it to you and see!).
We've organised
open mornings and storytelling assemblies so that your child can
share everything they've been doing in class with you, please come
along to see what they've been up to:
-
KS2 assembly
is next
Monday, Feb 8th at 2.15,
-
KS1 assembly
is this Friday,
Feb 5, at 2.30
-
and the
Foundation Stage
are opening
their classes to parents between 9.00 and 11.00 on Friday Feb 5th.
Friday Feb 5th is
also the last day of storytelling week and children and teachers
will be dressing up as their favourite book characters to celebrate.
Have a great week
and we look forward to sharing everything that we've been doing with
you.
