More Music, Dance and Drama Opportunities

If your child is keen on singing there are lots of opportunities in Westminster. The Westminster Junior Singers have a choir in the south of the borough and also in the north. The choir in the north meets every Tuesday from 4.00 to 5.00 pm (from 22nd September) at St Peter’s Chippenham Mews School and they are led by Richard Nicholls. There is also the Westbourne Choir who are opening their auditions to all schools. They meet at 3.30 on Wednesdays at Edward Wilson School. If you want more details, please contact:

 jwilson1@westminster.gov.uk.

There is also a Saturday school for budding actors and performers at the St Marylebone School. This is open to children aged 4 years upwards and is called ‘Take Part!’ This offers the chance to develop skills in music, dance and drama. Contact Sophie Bowering on: 020-7935-9501 if you are interested

Mr Carroll

Mr Carroll is due back in school later this week (complete with all the correct paperwork) following his enforced sabbatical in Australia! We’re all looking forward to having him back in school.

Eid

I hope all our families who celebrated  Eid enjoyed their celebrations. You were in our thoughts.

School Uniform

We’ve had a few queries from parents recently about school uniform. There is a uniform list on the notice board in the playground and we can let you have a list to take away if you come to the school office.

Harvest Service

Please note that our Harvest Service on 1st October is now going to be in school rather than in St Mary’s Church. We always do some sort of collection for this—food, money, etc—and we will let you know next week what we are doing.
