We break up on
Friday for half term.
Please remember to collect your child from class at
1.15
on Friday.
I
hope everybody has a good rest over the break.
Friday
will also be a
non-uniform day.
Please send your child with a £1 donation if they want to wear their
own clothes on Friday. The money will be donated to our Friends
Association.
The ‘Friends of
St Mary’s’ raise money to support the school in many different ways
as well as organising fun events for our whole community. The school
stage, the stage lighting, the rubber safety surface in the
playground, one of our interactive whiteboards and our CCTV system
were all paid for with money raised by the Friends. This year they
have already donated a substantial amount to buy sets of reading
books to be used in class guided reading sessions.
After
the holiday we will be in winter uniform. Please sort out the items
you need either this week or during the holiday, if you haven’t done
so already!
Winter uniform
is a
long sleeved white shirt or blouse with a collar and a tie,
grey trousers
(or skirt), school sweatshirt, dark shoes and plain socks. The ties
can be bought from Mrs Monaghan on Wednesday, as can sweatshirts.
Please make sure each item of uniform is named clearly. We can
provide iron-name tapes (15p each) although the sew-on ones are more
durable.
Black History
Month
Just a reminder
that Ms Walker is looking for people to contribute to this assembly,
or to talk to classes. Please get in touch with her as soon as
possible if you’d like to help. The assembly is at 9.15 on Friday
morning.
Lunch Money
The cost of
school lunches for the whole of next term is £59.50, if you want to
pay it in a single amount.
'The Good Life?'
Congratulations
to our Foundation Stage gardeners, and especially Vicky Durrant, who
were entered for a competition by the London Children’s Flower
Society for their vegetable growing. They won the ‘Patricia
Challenge Cup’ and were presented with it this morning at the
Guildhall.
