Children in Need

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Children in Need appeal on Friday. Many thanks also to Year 6 and Miss Granite who put on a great assembly for us in the afternoon. Altogether we raised £207.79.

Christmas Events

The last few weeks of this term are always very busy and our Christmas events start this Thursday with the Foundation Stage Christmas Assembly, followed next week by the infant classes’ Nativity Play and the week after it’s the junior classes’ turn.

The Christmas Fair is also scheduled for the last week of term: Wednesday 16th. The ‘Friends’ are trying something a little different this year and I’m sure they’ll be contacting you over the next week or two to ask for help with donations, etc.

The ‘Friends’ raise money every year for ‘extras’ that benefit our school; the distorting mirrors in the playground were paid for and installed by the ‘Friends,’ for example, as was the stage that the infant and junior classes will be performing on over the next few weeks. They rely on the enthusiasm and goodwill of our whole school community. If anyone can spare a little time to get involved, please have a word with Michael Peru, the Chair of the Friends Association - ask in the school office if you’re nor sure who he is or how to contact him!
